Yes, it is the same thing.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Is additional processing the same thing as administrative processing. On the paper we received it just said additional processing nothing about administrative processing. The CO told us they were waiting on a security clearance. Is it all the same thing?

It's a good sign they kept your passport. There is still no timeframe, but normally this means they believe your marriage is valid, and are doing some final security checks before issuing visa. Your husband may have a common name or something. It's always better they keep your passport because the case will stay with the embassy, and is not being returned to the US for review. So hopefully your AP will be resolved soon.

Sorry to hear about your toenail. I'm not sure if it's going to do any good, but there must be some way to file a formal complaint. Some of those workers should really be trained better or be replaced.

Good luck the rest of the way.
