Getting married in Singapore

Helo everyone,

I am VietNamese and my husband is American, we got married in Singapore and have a Singapore married certificate, I am going to have an interview on 14 July 2009 at the US Consulate in HCMC. I don't know if my singapore married certificate can be an issue for us or not. I am really confuse now, plz help me

Your marriage certificate was already reviewed and accepted when the I-130 petition was submitted. What is making you worry?

Thanks alot for your reply, I feel much better now. A friend of mine stress me out when she said that the US Consulate may be not accept the Singapore married certificate because the US consulate in Viet Nam just recognize the US and Viet Nam married certificate, that worry me a lot.

If it is a legal marriage certificate and you also submit a full certified translation it should be ok.

1.) Why were you married in Singapore?

and 2.) Did they ask many questions about it?
