Is this a sign? My head is spinning...I'm talking a six figure salary..that is a lot of mula. I don't know how the hubby will take this...

Do you feel that taking the new job sacrifices your character?

Regardless, this email is a good reminder that you want to live according to God's will, so this situation is definitely something to pray about.

Yeah...my heart is saying don't even entertain the idea. It's nice to just have the feeling that you COULD be making a lot more money. hahahaha. I'm going to stick it out here where I am. Hopefully, I passed God's test. Although, I was thinking of letting them take me to lunch for a FREE lunch and then let them down in a gentle way. Just kidding...I gotta just say no this time around.

I prefer to enjoy what I do...rather than chase the dollar. I turned down a lot of promotions because I was content with what I do for a living. Some times, when things get rough for me as a single mother...I kick myself because I could have more financial freedom now.

I can't really say I enjoy what I'm doing. I'm just comfortable..if that make any sense. I don't have any stressful tasks, I don't supervise any staff (when I used to have like 9 at one time), real flexible time, and cool manager. It's a little challenge because everything is still new and I'm learning.

So I figured I'm not even focusing on work anymore...let me take a few minutes to post on VJ. I'll work a little late to make up the time.

This past week, Hubby and I have found a summer hobby ....Fishing!!!!:dance: I love it and had a good time.

Anyone else have a summer hobby? I know JG loves Baseball...

Hey Ladies VJ is back up WOO HOO, I know I am late but I was at lunch with my Boss we went to Pei Wei yummy!

I won't even tell you what I thought that said...

LOL it is Thai food it was really good I had Sweet sour shrimp over brown rice.

Well apparently when I was at lunch people in my former dept were fighting and both were asked to go home! From what I am hearing the male didn't want to be a team player and help out with an issue and when the Female accused him on being lazy and not helping and he cussed her raas! The female walked out because my old Manager the Crypt Keeper didn't do anything and the male was asked to leave! Hot mess now I am getting called into a meeting! Ughhh I am so ready to go home!

Update: No response from the embassy today. Steven called and asked MoBay Hope if there's any way he can take the medical without the interview appointment letter. The answer is no, so no medical tomorrow.

I'm still holding out for an interview while I'm in Jamaica. He can get the medical and go back, but at least I wouldn't need to make another trip.

Hi again everyone, I'm back again for another question - so the girl I asked about last time figured her stuff out and got her intreview. Her Jamaican went to his interview and they actually told him to come back with her?!

Has anyone ever heard of this? I didn't know they could demand you go to the interview.

Just curious - her job won't give her any vacation time so she's not able to go. So I wanted to get your opinion - do you think if he shows back up with a letter from her employer saying she could not be granted any time off that would help them at all???

It couldn't hurt. But, if they requested she show, they want her to show. My advice is for her to call in sick a few days and make that interview.

this exact thing happened to me and you are right jg..

Finesse did you try the letter from work, or did you just follow the blue slip as requested? I wonder why some couples have to be there and others don't. Did your husband say or do something @ the first interview that made them think they needed more info or proof from you? Just curious...

i got a letter from work and hubby went back for the interview and they told him the same thing...that my presence was required. there is nothing odd about our relationship...we are the same age and had been dating for years and I had been to JA a million times....so the only thing that I can think of was that my husband was really nervous and he is an extremely shy (or should I say WAS) person so maybe they thought he didn't really know me....i really have no idea. and then when i went for the interview, they asked me like 2 stupid questions and him 2 questions and that was it. others have no problem whatsoever...

Thanks a million everyone. I'll let this girl know. She's really a friend of a friend.... I want to smack her upside the head though. Why would she risk this? I don't get it? Anyway, thanks again!

Do you know if Chef and Libby are still in JA?

Shem, I JUST found out Chef had a stroke last June, he and Libby moved back to England in Feb. Was so sorry to hear, I know how hard they worked to build their lives in Jamaica...

He can walk and talk apparently, I think it was the medical bills that were killing them. I had gone into one of tthe shops she managed and the sales girl was telling me about it. They all loved her so much.

I didn't know you knew them too Shemmy!!

KNown them both for YEARS since Libby and I were both Ja.com moderators...
