Hi Folks,

I am not sure if this question has been answered, as their all kinds of uncertain answers posted. As you know the processing date has been updated on the CSC website as 5 months for K-1. Does this mean it will get approved within 5 months, and you can call after 5 months to inquire. Than I notice a lot of people on this website are also mentioning to wait 6 months for approval. What is the correct answer to this?

Depends on what USCIS.GOV shows, historically they show 6 months for the oldest cases in the system, if it is now showing 5 that is progress.

What this means is if you call them within 5 months after you filed, they wont have an answer and wont look into it until after the 5 months, typically they will tell you to check back in 30 days after you become outside the 5 months.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
