Hi there.

I am in the same situation, but I've been unemployed for several months now. I am preparing to relocate, within a couple weeks actually, and a primary reason is to be where the work is. I haven't filed the 129F yet, we're preparing that this week. I know exactly what you mean about being with your gal no matter what. If I can't bring her here, I'll become a white Filipino ;)

I live in the Portland OR area. A friend of mine is a truck driver here, though I don't know for what company. I think he mostly drives between here and Seattle, but sometimes goes down to Los Angeles. He offered to help train me in getting the class A license because he says there is a demand for drivers. Perhaps you could expand your search to include this area as well if you're willing and able to relocate, maybe there's something to find here.

Also: Pray. Just give it a shot, you might be surprised at the results.
