When my approval letter came it only showed like J Doe Smith, and not my first name. The card came just fine. Other people are reporting the same. They abbreviate the name in the letter but it comes normal in the card.

First of Congrats on your approval.

From what i have seen and USCIS uses J Smith format for NOA and Approval letters while biometric and acutal GC have full name. Don't worry. It's the way i have seen them do it.

:time: or add it to you signature. So that others can know when you did file and when should they expect their approval etc. Also since you applied at VSC we can add you to VSC list. so that others at VSC can read to comparison.
