change of address

hi everyone..we will be married next week and we are currently in the process of preparing the aos packet...we are confused... will i put my fiancee'shome address (but we will be staying for a month only because he weill be deployed) ? or shall i just put the address of my aunt?where i will stay when he gets deployed.

if I were in your shoes, I would put aunt's address because even if you had to change that address, in the future, any mislabeled addressed correspondence from USCIS would still make it to your aunt's who I'm sure would pass along the mail to you.

On a side note, when we were going through the process, I was in the middle of changing addresses because of work; I was supposed to move to this other location for 6 months only, and I figured I would change the address when the time came with USCIS; however, as that was going on, my friend who was getting his citizenship papers (not thru k1 but family related), was in the middle of his process, and he moved, he updated his address with USCIS, but somehow USCIS managed to send appointment letters and such to his old address; needless to say he missed the appointments, and went through hell to try to get his stuff back in order. That was the sign from heaven as I say that led me to use my parent's permanent address, but of course, I had to change my driver's license address to theirs because I could at least say that my parents was my permanent address, and my other address was temporary to work.

Fortunately, all our stuff went without problems, so if you can, I would use your aunt's address to be on the safe side.

One more thing I forgot to say....what address did you use for your k1?

One thing you need to keep in mind is that you always need to inform USCIS of address change. So if you filed your k1 visa and you use address abc, and now youre filing aos and you will be using address xyz, then that could be a problem, as you're supposed to inform USCIS of all your address changes. So for our case, we filed the k1 using my permanent address abc; however, I had to move to a temporary address, so before filing AOS, I did the Address change with USCIS, and listed my parents address, xyz. After we did that, weeks later we sent the AOS packet with xyz address, and had no problems at all.
