Had about a two and a half week trip out of the country and when I got back found out my wife's case at NVC was finished, processed, and sent off to San Jose. Then when I got home last night and checked my E-mails found out she has an interview date for August 12. I was hoping for one in July but I'll take August.

She has her medical reports in the sealed envelope for the K3 that we never continued with. Would they still be good for the CR1?

Also, the way I read the instructions is I don't need any more paperwork (other then evidence) as the police certificates and wedding/divorce papers were all sent to the NVC and accepted. Am I correct?

At this time I am putting the final touches on an "evidence packet" for her to take with her but as far as official documents all she will need is her passport/2 photos/interview cover letter/and medical........Is that correct? All other official docs were sent to the NVC.

My thinking mirrors that of the recommendations in the VJ guide: have a complete copy of everything submitted available at the interview. Official documents should have originals as well as copies so that if one is requested you show the original and hand over the copy.

What if something doesn't make it to the consulate? Or falls out on the floor and isn't in the file when it is reviewed? Could be cause for an RFE and thus a delay. Better to carry unneeded evidence in than have to send it in later.

Best of luck for the interview.
