My wife is here on a two year Green Card, she has been here for one year and we will be filing for her citizenship after she gets her 10 year Green Card, we would like to take a vacation back to her home country, how long can we be away without affecting any of these time periods......Thanks in advance for your help!!!

would that be 6 months within any 12 month period ?????

for citizenship, no one stay outside the USA can be greater than 6 months or the 3yr/5yr "clock" resets to zero.

If you are spending more than 50% of your time outside the USA that could cause residency issues as well
