hi everyone.

i have couple of questions in mind if u guys can help, but first let me tell u all that my hubby had his interview on the 10th feb, u wont believe wat happed guys, the CO gave him an AP saying that there are some issues in the case n they ll put him in AP, my husband got broken hearted and just said "oooo " leaning back which really showed that his heart broke. and SUBHANAALLAH, ALLAH has put mercy on the CO's heart n he just took the passport back and attached it to the file n kept it n told him to wait for a call to pick up his visa in a month.

i wana ask if anyone knows how to track the visa status online or if there is any number to call in islamabad to find out. and one more thing thats bothering me, is it possible that they will raise an issue in the case and return the passport without giving him visa. pls guys help me out.

thank u all.

Sounds like he's still in AP. What kind of slips/papers did the Co give your hubby? Theres no way to track the status, but you can call the DOS and they will just tell you it's pending until its complete. Unfortunately there is no way to know when AP will be complete. Luckily, some people do only get a month of AP, hoping you get that as well. Just let us know what papers you got and if need be, we will add you to the spreadsheet. Good luck!

I forgot to mention, They did give us a letter with approved courier Amec in cities with a puprple sticker on top.

Co gave my hubby a green letter with our IV date n ISL # on top, saying he is on AP with min 6weeks to max no limits,

Thanks,

MOMO

Ok VJ Friends, Im here ! :innocent:

We got back from ISL like 2 hrs ago, LOL kept thinkin abt VISAJOURNEY isl Thread n first thing after refreshing myself was to open my laptop n share our experience!

Went there on time, u guys already know abt the que n everything hehehehhe so no repostng,

CO was male clean shave middle age, nice n friendly was trying to trick us to how we got Russian PCC from Toronto, since we could not get it from Russian Embassy at isl and had to pay this agency t get it for us from Russia! ( MY hub did his education from there so he needed PCC from Russia) He was very friendly n didnot ask for any pics or any other prooof although we had everything! we got so blank at that time that we didnt even offer him to look at the pics himself but i guess it ws ok since he never asked for them, what u guys say?

He ws smiling all the time , at the end he said everything ws ok u r eligible for visa we just need to do some Administrative processing, He said this to us like 2-3 time like he was consoling us, "U r eligible for visa " "Ur visa has been approved, no more qs we dont need any more documents, sometimes we do but rarely!" so i guess that ws something nice to hear!

He said wait for 2-3 months and he kept my hubs passport, So now wait starts for the call from AMEX ,

Wishing well for every one,

USMOMO

And by the way guys, I am leaving Wednesday back to the states. It's taking a long time and I should go back to find a job or something. We thought we could stay together through the entire AP and go back together, but you all know how it goes. Time goes slow and patients wears thin. I keep telling myself it shouldn't be more than 3 months longer, its the only thing that helps. Please keep us in your duaas. Thanks....

Hi ABENITEZ have a safe journey back to U-S-A. i am sure that ur fed up with this AP i am also fed up with this AP thing and by the way u can not stand pakistani heat in next month it will start hot weather in Pakistan. ur husband had his interview in october have embassy contacted him for any kind of informations after the interview ? if u live near islamabad then u and ur husband can go embassy in person to ask them about the case status and u meet the CO .

This AP thing is so much frustrating its been more than 5 months i am waiting in AP and all they have worked on my case is that they wanted my brothers names thats all the work they done in 5 months.

But atleast i know that they are working on my case but slow.

i have noticed that Those people who gets out of their AP in first 2 months their passport is returned to them in just a week and if ur stuck in AP more than 3 months then it will take ur passport to return to u full month same like at 5 january Feisal AP was finished and he received his passport with visa after a month at 10 february and same situation with Hopeful786.

btw i noticed something as well when I got the email it was on December 31 stating to submit passport for final processing and when my fiance got his passport back on feb 4... the visa print date was december 30, 2009... soooooooooooooooo I think once the visa prints they will call you to submit the passport.

For us it took a month because Afghan applicants go through the embassy in ISL for IV cases, and for Pakistani applicants I believe it takes about 2-3 weeks or somewhere around that timeframe, depending on the loadwork of the embassy.

I know how tough and irritating AP can become, especially when you are counting up to 3 months and you still hear no good news, then you start to panic. Insha'Allah this year will bring short AP or no AP... I hope you guys don't have to endure any time in waiting for this AP.

Yes My Visa Print Date is 29th December 2009. I believe once the AP process completes the Visa is printed and applicant is called for the passport. Now the additional process of Passport going to DOS one last time takes 1 month to complete.

Praying for all of you get your visas soon specially wellmux (Its coming bro) & ZaheersShahzadi(becuase of ur situation ur in my prayers)

Congrats to all of you who had good interviews or were called by embassy. ABENITEZ - Did they keep your hubby's passport? I don't remember. I know that they gave Zaheer's back to him. I dont know if it is because he has a stamp from Canadian Temp Res Visa in it, but, he has never used it. He works for the government, so we are thinking that must be the problem that is holding up our case. He works for the Sessions Court, and he deals with a lot of criminal cases, some involving al Qaeda and stuff, so the Senator's Liason told us that may be the cause for delay. Also, his last name, Ahmed is very common. But, Don't worry ABENITEZ, all will be ok, Insha'Allah. I had to come back to the states alone as well. At least you don't have to give birth all alone. It has been so hard. We thought we could wait it all out too. I miss Zaheer terribly. I never was away from him so long before. We decided that after a couple months if he still doesnt get it and the baby is here, I will bring her to visit him.

We received a letter from the Senator's Office which is a response to the inquiry into our case at Islamabad. It says something to the extent of:

To the Honorable Senator Ron Klein..... (this is not verbatim), We recieved your request for information about Applicant Zaheer Ahmad's K3 Visa Case # ........... on behalf of your constituant Tara Ahmed. The Applicant's Visa is currently pending further Administrative Processing which cannot be Expedited nor waived. We will contact Mr. Ahmed when his visa is finished processing. If you have any further inquiries regarding this case, please contact our office. Signed (whatever the guy's name was) Consul General. I think it was Christopher Robert or something.

The thing that was disturbing for me was that when they put his name under the subject line and case number.. they spelled his name Zaheer AHMAD. But his last name is AHMED. No "A-D" just "E-D". So I sent a message to the embassy and the senator's liason asking if this could pose a problem processing the case and they (senator) immediately responded that the Embassy has recived my inquiry and I have no reason for concern as it does not disrupt the case. But, sometimes they say one thing then another thing happens.. So I am still a little unsure. But, I just keep praying and hoping. The Senator's office did call me a few day's ago asking when my due date was so they could reitterate the fact to Islamabad and try to speed things along. Please pray for us everyone. I know Wellmux and ABENITEZ and some others have been waiting longer than us, and I don't pretend to deserve it more or anything of that sort. I want all of us to get to be reunited with our loved ones as soon as possible. I continue to pray and just ask for that, simply. Prayer on our behalf. All of you, please take care and Insha'Allah, AP will be finished quickly. Allah Hafiz.

Actually, if he doesn't get his visa by August I will be delivering a baby alone! Yes thats right, me too. Anyways he will get mad if he sees I posted that so lets all forget it, I just couldn't contain myself! Anyways I may be wrong, but it seems like ppl who are a mixed-race couple get longer AP's. I don't know who on here has a white wife, Faisal? But me, Wellmux and Tara are all mixed race I believe. I['ve seen other white/paki couples on here who had like 14 month AP's, but luckily those ridiculously long AP's don't happen much anymore. Also, I think if the applicant has traveled or lived outside of Pakistan they tend to get more checks as well. My husband lived in England for like 6 years so I'm sure they are checking him out thoroughly. As I see it, it is taking 5-6 months for the AP to be complete and now the extra month for the passport. The CO asked my husband if he wanted the passport or leave it with them, he told them to take it. She said ok, that may save you some time anyways. So all together I'm planning on 6-8 months from interview til the passport is in his hand w/visa. April-june is my estimate. I do hope it is sooner of course but I must be realistic. I don't think there are any special circumstances holding up our cases Tara, we are just the lucky ones who get longer AP's. Believe me, the visas will come, and when they do, you will forget about this whole painful experience as you will be so happy to have him with you starting a new life. You may have to deliver alone, but at least your in a country with PROPER medical facilities. The medical care here is a joke, but thats a whole other topic. Wishing you all luck and checking back all the time, everyone keep updating!

Hmm.....as unfortunate as it may be....I think you might just have a point there. Taj'samericanwife had a fairly long wait too....over 4 1/2 months in ap. Though, there case is a bit more complicated as her Paki husband is in the Philipines and they have a 2-3 yr old son together that is in the Philipines with his dad...but they ARE initially going through isl embassy, as confusing as that is to my own mind lol. Though...she's not necessarily "white", she's Philipino I believe...but still. It sure does seem so......which is utterly ridiculous. *shrugs*

Hwey guys,

I can tell you Mixed race or not, realy not a metter. My wife is not pakistani and I was on AP for about 2 weeks and my last name is also very common. At this point I can only think is that visa process is getting harder and harder as time is passing, since too much happing in Pak they making sure everybody is clear...there so many step to get clearence from one department to another. I am USC and when ever I go out side and come back they stop me and I have to wait for at least 3 hours to get clearence.

I realy dont mind this process, because they are trying to prorect US boders.

My parents have their interview about 7 weeks ago and my father is on AP...its difficult to wait and wait. So please keep your self positive, and I am sure soon you all will be happy one... Goodluck

Wow... I did not know that ABENITEZ. (discreet congrats) hehe. You know, I never thought of it that way before.. But perhaps you are right.. Being white or by-birth American may be holding up some of it. I never considered that before. I just hope that all of this gets finished soon. If I go by the averages on the spreadsheets, it seems that K3 visas take about 134 days to process. So, its been like 103 days for us or something. So, Insha'Allah it wont be much longer. I don't mind one way or another how long it takes really.. as long as he DEFIINITELY gets the visa. We asked the Embassy like over 2 months ago if the validity date on his K3 visa (4 months from approval) would affect us. She said no because she said that THEY (the Embassy) decides the validity date. So, the August 28-December 28 validitiy date on our I-797c doesn't matter. Obviously. well, I hope everyone is having a nice day. Its very windy here in South Florida today. rained a bit yesterday, but enjoying, for the most part the 40-65 degree weather. I am not a beach-goer, so it doesn't affect me in any way. But tourists are getting a bit fussy. I went to Babies R Us yesterday and this rich snooty old lady was trying to rush me and my friend because she didnt want to wait in a long line. So she interrupted our convo about my friend needing to pick up her son and said "WHy dont you leave your stuff here and have the cashier hold it, then come back later?" and we were like "Cuz we have to drive 30 miles from here to go pick him up". Not fazed, the cashier called the next two customers to a new register and she practically pushed us to go. I hate rich people.
