I just now called to see how my husbands AP is coming along. And was told Embassy called him today

for his siblings names and b-days. Which of course I called my husband right away, to find out if they had called him. Not to my surprise they hadn't. So ... For everyone that is on AP, don't depend on them contacting you. Call to check up on your case.

Faris Ali Gillani was born on Sunday, January 24th 2010 at 11:46am!!! The doctors decided to induce me when they saw that my placenta was looking too aged. All in all the first part of labor was kind of miserable cause it was taking so long and I wasn't dilating well, but it simply felt like menstrual cramps so the pain wasn't so bad. But it sped up out of nowhere going from 1cm to 9cm's in half an hour and exactly an hour afterwards my beautiful baby boy was born!!!

:D....g2g now though. Will be logging on next whenever I get a breathing moment to do so...lol.

p.s.

hshah08....I hope you don't mind taking on the responsibility for the list for a few weeks....? I will do my very best to get back on as much and update though...i promise. But I can't deny it might still be a while till I'm completely back though...sorry :(

[/quot

Many congrats to the both of you :dance:

Insha'Allah may we all have a speedy process throughout the WHOLE immigration process...it is certainly difficult, but possible to get through thanks to our senior members.

However, I can honestly say during AP I have taught myself a lot and surprised myself with how much patience I can have and how these situations increased my patience, and I'm sure same goes for all of us. The value of happiness is always twice as more when you are working for it.

Thats good news you did not go through any 'screening'.I have been trying to know first hand experience from any Pakistani travelling to US about this.

This is good news for us all.Ordinary people are made to look suspects while they are not.

Anyway congratulations and welcome to US.

Many Many Cograaaaaaaatsssssss Im so happy for u!!!

InshaAlllah talllah, ur journey is about to end ! Almost ended ! :star:

Take care,

Now loook for airlne tickets!! Cheers!

I have great news everyone! I called DOS today and they told me visa was issued on January 27 and the passport was sent to the embassy in kabul... but they also said that there is no diplomatic pouch going from Islamabad to Kabul, AFghanistan (I guess because of the bombings and extreme talibans guarding the roads) so Islamabad is sending it to washington and from washington they send it to kabul via diplomatic pouch (i'm not sure if this is true or not)... that is my update for today

Feisal... you should be getting your passport soon as well insha'Allah

Hello everyone,

I have been reading different posts esp old posts. Once i started Islamabad thread i started reading from the first post,

I dont know may b im wrong but young males with either category CR1, or K3,K1 when they were accompanied by US citizen Spouse they had the shortest AP, Like Mumtaz, they had AP of 29 days, theres one more couple that i remember had AP of 35 days only. I think accompanying ur hubby at the interview could actually make a difference,

What do u guys think?

Thank you usmomo... and I guess I read the posts wrong because the impression I got was CR-1 has the shortest AP as opposed to K-3 or K-1... waiting 4 approval, Ali55, and a few others had one and a half months of AP

I assumed that the K visas take longer to process because of the small fee, and CR-1 should be reviewed first and faster because of the fee of $350 i believe or more

and i think with AP there are sooo many factors, one case could be because of the age, one case could be cause of the relationship and etc..
