i m new here this is my first post over on visa journey .

I have my Question.

I m Green card holder and my wife is in India . I filded I 130 in april 2007 . i recentely recieved mail from USCIS as mentioned below .

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On June 22, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

what does it mean? now what is the next step? how much time it will to get visa ?

Hey joshi congratulation for ur approval.. now ur case will transfer to the NVC.. u need to read the guide lines of VJ for NVC.. tell ur wife to collect all the documents for the NVC. fill up the form ds-230 and ds-3032.

Hy thats a gppd news for u buddy...

Now ur case will be transfred to NVC within a weeks time thatn the nvc process should take approx 2months and then u'll get the interview date...

so keep the things ready and keep calling NVC for the status the number for NVC is 1 603 340 700.

On the chart below, the listing of a date for any class indicates that the class is oversubscribed (see paragraph 1); "C" means current, i.e., numbers are available for all qualified applicants; and "U" means unavailable, i.e., no numbers are available. (NOTE: Numbers are available only for applicants whose priority date is earlier than the cut-off date listed below.)

These from current visa bulletin so his category is F2A since LPR from india even if your i130 petion was approved its going to be forwarded to nvc where it will sit waiting for interview date .at the moment they are processing petitions received prior to 22 dec 2004-I can promises it will be years >i was in same boat the only thing that will speed up your petition is became citizen then upgrade
