Have seen little discussion on this thread and was wondering if cases at NVC have slowed or is everyone flying through here and onto their respective embassies?

Best Wishes

It feels like it has slowed down a bit. The days of setting records with 14, 12, 10 days are definitely gone.

I overnighted each thing as soon as they requested it and it still took me 37 days to get a case complete. They took quite some time with generating things, which was the real killer.

On the plus side though, they're really good about telling you exactly what they've received, when they entered it and whether or not it's currently being reviewed. Was a relief after getting zip from USCIS.

I agree with imaisha..

When we (some of the March I-130 approved group) went through NVC, we were bit impatient because we had noticed everyone's... Most people ahead of us were getting case # within a week, getting IIN # and bills generated within days... but now, it is taken over a week. It took 2 weeks for me to get a case # and another 2 weeeks to get visa fee bill ($400) generated.... I also used UPS-Next Day for all the things I sent.

On the flip side, it did gave me more than enough time to gather all the required documents, recheck and verify the packages, etc. In terms of getting status from NVC, best to talk to operator. Most gives politically correct answers, some are nice to give bit more details. There was only one or two instance where I had a rude lady, but all nice otherwise.

Thank you for your input, we were seeing so little happening in this forum and was wondering what was if anything happening. We have still to receive our case number but it's not until the 22nd that it will have been two weeks.

Just a little impatient to get the show on the road i suppose.

Wish this were true for all of us. The NVC pulls files at random for AP (additional processing). This can add months to your processing before they even forward it to your embassy. The standard response WE get from them if this is done is, "We can't tell you why it's in additional processing or what that entails", and "There is no time frame for how long this will take". I am in that dark abyss now. We were hoping for a speedy pass-thru. After all...we have a K1...they don't really have much to do with it's approval. But now, we are only hoping for a quick AP.
