The only reason we are thinking I shouldnt go is because we worry if I go, they will ask me questions too and it might be better if they just ask him, not that we have anything to hide but you know, one conflicting answer and the suspiciions arise. The USC's presence during an interview is ALWAYS advisable, even if the closest that the USC gets to the actual interview is the consular premises. Hand him your passport to take into his actual interview. Your quote above is disquieting... what WOULD you have to hide, and why would your respective answers conflict? I ask from a standpoint of potential concern, rather than accusation.

My husband works in Karachi so thats where I would be going but since our families live closer to Islamabad, we will just go n stay with them because he is taking couple of weeks off from work too.. If you can, you should attend the interview with him.. I wasn't planning to because I just went home in March to see him so I wasn't expecting time off from work but as soon as I mentioned it, my boss asked me to go and that I can work overtime before n after to make up for the hours becuase they do realize how miserable I am here without him.. besides that, I won't be functioning properly on his interview day anyway so they would rather have me there than mess up things at work

Why dun you practice some basic question/answers with your husband? Lets open a thread about cross questioning at the interview.. so we can all share the potential questions and be prepared because sometimes you know the person too well.. for example, i know my husband loves to eat so its hard for me to pin point just "one favorite food" for him!

honestly, I know every detail about my husband, and if I didnt feel pressured, I swear I could answer everything perfectly. The problem I think is that I just feel like I'm being interrogated or something at the interveiw. Anyways, we haven't really decided yet, were still talking abt it. Also, we will be questioned a bit more cuz our case has a few red flags so we will deffinetely be practicing our answers. Your idea is cool about the new thread, I will deffinetely join in.

I know what you mean.. I would also feel like that "our life" is pretty much dependent on the answer that I give so that would put me under pressure too which may lead to something that we would have no control over.. I just want to be prepare for the worst.. the immigration thing is scary :-(
