Pakistan to be Obama's 'Vietnam'?

I think this is just theory and nothing concrete. Vietnam was big mistake. I do think the politicians have learnt a great deal from it. As far my knowledge goes. US got into Nam to dislodge the bad guys and it get really became a quagmire. The situation in Pakistan is different and can't be compared to Nam. In Pakistan , the army there is destroying what they created for US to destroy ex-Soviet union which eventually became a menace.

So it's like quarantine vs. fight
