Not many unbiased news sources out there. Is it wrong to state that Fox is biased? What has that got to do with liberals not agreeing with what is said? I consider myself fairly liberal but I still know when a news chanel is mostly biased whichever way they lean.

Its not wrong to point it out, no. I do think its weird that people insist on taking ownership of (and defending) corporate news networks as if they're somehow representative of what *they* actually believe.

Its a lot of trust to put in something that really doesn't have your best interests at heart.

The strongest evidence that Fox is biased is the fact that the vast majority of the time they bring on some right wing commentator, with no opposing view, and the Fox hosts applaud what he says like a couple of freaking seals clapping. Agreeing with the right wing view is anyone's prerogative, but pretending that this is "fair & balanced" reporting is ridiculous to say the least. Right wingers will counter & say that other networks (e.g. CNN) are biased as well & they may very well be, but these networks tend to take a more subtle approach & at least make an attempt to be unbiased.

I watch Fox every day because they broadcast it at work, so I believe I have a representative sample of their coverage. I do however applaud the fact that they have babes in short skirts (something that CNN now emulates).

It isn't just Fox though - its that style of news. As long as you feature one liberal and one conservative to air opposing viewpoints their job as a journalist is done.

I have watched his show a number of times to give him the benefit of the doubt but six months later, 95% of his show is still spent criticizing others and GWB.

O'reilly talks about his views but may occasionally spend 1% of his show rebutting insults directed at him. Libs spend 90% of their time is rebutting and insulting. The other 10% is spent protesting about moronic and irrelevant rights oriented issues.

O'reilly talks about his views but may occasionally spend 1% of his show rebutting insults directed at him. Libs spend 90% of their time is rebutting and insulting. The other 10% is spent abusing drugs and protesting about rights issues.

You do realise though that what you're doing here is almost the exact same thing that these news networks do - pigeon hole and cast blame with as wide a net as possible.

...most liberal oriented shows spend the majority of their time discussing how dumb conservatives and their views are. That is a huge fundamental difference. A lot of that also plays out here on VJ.

Constellation your opinions about right wingers & liberals is extremely biased... they are flip sides of the same coin & are equally bad. As for OReilly & Olbermann if I had to choose between the two I would go with O'Reilly, but O'Reilly comes off as a close-minded bully (while Olbermann comes off as a nut job).

Never thought I was so amusing Anyway I do like to watch Fox News be it just for entertainment value.......its so funny watching the news reporters trying their hardest to be impartial but failing miserably....the right wing bias always comes to the surface.

On a more serious note, I've not had a chance yet to watch all News outlets in the USA, where would people put them on a scale of 0 to 10 where....

0 = Extreme Liberal, 5 = Centrist, Impartial, 10 = Extreme Republican
