I think he's partially right. Right Wingers, in general, are not the ones you'll find in libraries or universities reading volumes of academic books. They like their TV and their cheap beer...and news shows that will take complex issues and dumb them down to emotional soundbites so it's clear which team to root for and which one to boo at.

Wow would you mind getting off your pedestal and coming down here so I can share my cheap beer with you, I think you will like it. :jest:

Its accurate though, but it isn't just true of the right wing, but anyone who tries to defend a ###### corporate TV network as some sort of political bastion. The very idea is idiotic.

it was pretty funny too. i dunno about you but, i like the new & improved (more aggressive & talk to the hand if you don't agree w/ me) steven.

It was a generalization and I stated it as such. Deal with it.

Yes you did state that, I dont think it has to do with right wingers in general being stupid(that is pretty much what you said) I think it has to do with the outlets that are available, not many on the right side.

why aren't there more?

not really the fault of the left side that there aren't more right side news channels...

Perhaps it has something to do with the messages of the right and the people they appeal to? Here's one for you. Most/many/all problems in CA are caused by illegal immigrants. The solution, send them home. Simple.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Tell me something, Steven.

If right-wingers are all so stupid, how come they have all the money?

O'Reilly's show is editorial.

Of course it is, so what?

So Murdoch making the general claim that his entire news network is fair and balanced is a lie. Op/Ed pieces have never been about being objective. Murdoch and O'Reilly need to stop lying to public and be honest that much of the programming is anything but objective.

There is a big difference between right wingers who have money and the majority of the Republican supports who definitely do not :)

Generally speaking again...most Right Wingers are under-educated and on the lower end of income.

...

That's why they call being educated, elitism.

He said, "people believe we’re fair and balanced, and they love us" and that much is true.

Of course. It doesn't really matter whether it is actually true or not, as long as people believe it. There are, however, a lot of people who don't believe it either...so popularity isn't really a good gauge for quality.

Of course people who like Fox will say its fair & balanced... its kind of like saying people who eat chocolate ice cream like it.
