Folks:

Getting ready to file for my AOS for my wife who came in on the K1 visa have some questions if folks here can help answer.

1) Do we put the the I-94 number or the A-number on the different forms. My wife has the A number (or what looks like the A number) on the I94 card.

2) Form 1-131, Adv Parole. Do we need to fill out Supplement, part 7 ? Is it required/necessary ?

3) K1 Approval notice..I send a copy of the K1 approval notice not the original, right

4) I864 questions...

Do I need to submit tax transcripts/W2s etc for the last 3 years or just most recent year, i.e. 2008?

Do I need to send an employment letter

Bank statements ?

I am thinking of what I had to do for I134, but I864 does not specify those things.

I-864, Ques 21, c. Do I put 0 or 1 ? The example form says 0.

I693 -- the parts that need to be filled out...

Part 1 (we fill this)

Part 2, #5, the Civil surgeon fills this out.

Part 5, the Civil surgeon fills this out.

For forms, we need to send the following ?

I485, I765, I131, I864, I693.

What about I-130 .. is that required ?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.

well don't send it Monday if you are not sure. Better to wait a few days and get it right, I will try to help

1. If it asks for "A" number, give that. The A number is also on your NOA2, upper right corner if memory serves

2. Part 7 is dates and plans for trips, right? No, I left it blank. You can put "to be determined"

3. Copy, yes. KEEP the original

4. I-864

a. I sent only one year, most recent. For me it was 2007, now 2008. It was all I needed

b. Employment letter is optional, check stubs work great also

c. Bank statements and/or letter optional. I sent both employment letter, bank letter and check stubs. Why not?

The example forms here are really good.

I did not submit an I-693. I sent the DS-2032 vaccination supplement ONLY. If your fiancee had a medical exam in conjuction with her visa within one year of AOS it is generally acceptable only to send the vaccination supplement. I have heard of this not being acceptable in some cases but cannot comment why.

I-130 is not required for adjustment from K-1 visa.
