My fiance just got her learners permit in NC, but it expires on the date that her K-1 expires. I am assuming we will have to wait for her EAD before applying for a full license.

Going only on what you have written, is there any reason she cannot take the DL test prior to the expiration of her K-1?

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensedregistered pharmacist". (because somebody gives a damn)
