turist visa

I know this might have been asked before.. but..

I know its a long shot but if I try to get a turist visa and even if i do get denied...will it affect my K1 process? and at the interview would they know that I have applied for K1?

I miss my baby sooo much and I want to go see him... is it worth trying..or would it mess everything up?

Aug 2001- met in highschool in US

Feb 15 2006- sent I 129

Feb 17 2006- NOA1

Feb 23 2006- *touched*

April 1 2006- still waiting =(

July 10 2006- touched!!

July 11 2006- touched again!!!

July 24 2006- touched (RFE in email)

Aug. 7 2006- RFE in mail

Aug 15 2006- sent back RFE (the wait begins again)

Aug 26 2006- touched (RFE recieved)

Aug 28 2006- APPROVED!!!!!- after 192 days~!

Sep 3 2006- get NOA2 in snail mail

Sep 13 2006-NVC recieves case!!!

Sep 18 2006- NVC sents case to Embassy!!

Sep 21 2006- Embassy recieves!

Sep 27 2006- Embassy send interview packet!!

Nov 9 2006- Medical completed

Nov 20 2006- Interview APPROVED

Nov 22 2006- picking up my VISA

NOV 23 2006- leaving for ATLANTA

Timeline

You can try, but it's best at the interview for the tourist visa to tell them you have a K1 in process (they'll most likely know) and explain all ties with have with home and that you'll not jeopardize your interview by ovestaying, etc. They might still deny you it.

Sorry but I have also inquired about this for my fiance and you cant apply for a tourist visa while in the K-1 process....He will have to come see you for now :( Hang in there ;)

who did you inquire about it with? are you sure?

Probably they will deny the tourist visa. They did that to my girlfriend the reason was she is trying to evade the K1 process. You should never lie while submitting information you can get in trouble later if they found out.

Whether a B2 visa denial will affect a K visa decision will depend why the B2 is denied. A very common reason for B2 denial is immigrant intent, which is not an issue of concern for the K visas.

If you apply for the K visa at the same consulate where you applied for the B visa, they will most certainly know about it.

I have spoken to our lawyers about the very same thing.. The best way to do things is for the Petitioner to visit the UK.. That way they cant say that you plan to stay as you have a K1 for UK to USA not the other way around, make sure you visit length is not close to the time limit on the tourist visa and you should be ok. I also reccommend flying in to UK airports early.
