So you know when you submitted AOS, you sent in the I-485 & I-130 together + AP/EAD..etc.

If you received a notice/email saying "card production ordered" for I-485 but not an approval , and you have yet to hear anything about I-130, what exactly does it mean?

Is that mean the I-485 is approved?

--I am getting confused reading other posts on the forum and my buddy's wife just got the email saying her card production has been ordered, but we've got no clue what's that suppose to mean.

Thats real fast of USCIS. Well, what it means is that I-485 has been approved, and you will receive your Green Card in mail. Before that you will receive a welcome letter. Since card production has been ordered, you no longer require the AP & EAD. I-485 approval is based on eligibility which was to be established by the I-130. So, that stands approved too. Usually, if filing concurrently, you get interviewed for the I-485 and I-130 at the same time. I-130 approval doesn't necessarily mean that your I-485 will be approved. But approval of I-485 means that the I-130 has been approved.
