I was reading on the travel state. gov about the I864. It says that it is used in the United States. Does that mean we do not take it to the embassy or is it used for the AOS only? Or do some ask for it and some don't? We will have his interview in Cairo when he gets approved. Can someone who has been through there tell me if they ask for it. Thank You

864 is used it in the AOS process, not the K-1 process...... 2 different support documents one for Embassy in Egypt one for AOS here. Think it was a 131 in Egypt, (it's been awhile so not sure of the #) and FOR SURE it was the 864 here...

Thank you. I have another question. How close does cairo look at the affidavit of support. I myself lack a few thousand but can make it up in the checkin accout. My sister was going to co sponsor but she backed out on me today. And my other sister is shy 200 dollars but gets child support and has a saving of the 5x amount. Getting pretty stressed out here. I know I need a co spondor cause I quit my job to come be with my husband after my sister told me yes she would. Any information on Cairo and this would help me out alot and thanks again.
