Hello everyone,

I need some helps here. I moved from IN to OH right after I got the interview scheduled letter.

Just wondered if anyone has had the same situation happen before.

Should I can go to the office in Ohio on the same date without notice or just go to the Indiana one?

It probably takes me at least 8 hours for a round trip.

Also should I call the customer service and ask for more information?

Thanks for helping me out.

As nice of a thought as it would be, unlike the fingerprinting - you must go to the office that issued your interview letter. That office has all of your forms/documents/everything else you submitted. That office has the officer reviewing and studying your case for your interview. They will not even let you in the door if you try to go to the office in your new state.

Don't try to cut corners, don't try to make changes. Just Go to the one who sent you the letter

Cheers,

Teslas

Our local office was a 6 hour round trip, it's really not that big a deal. Drive out the night before and stay somewhere. They won't just let you do a "walk-in" interview.

You have to go to original office, you can not change it to the other one.

And also make sure you prove that you & your spouse have moved together & still living together,

I am sure IO will ask some questions about this move during the interview. You have to take some documents with you to prove that you are still together at the new address. Also one last thing, make sure you tell IO about the address change. If you don't your GC will be probably lost at the old address or will be returned to USCIS as "undeliverable".

Thanks everyone. We will go to the same office. But how can I prove we still live together? My husband is doing his summer job as a salesman. We move around every month. I did change my address online but I put my husband's home address where we are sure we can get letters. Is that ok even we don't live there now?

I'm a little confused. ;)

Do you have some kind of permanent address, at least where you receive mail together? Are the two of you living together now?

yup, we live together now but we will move a lot in the summer. So I change my address to his (his parents') home address even though we are not there.
