That envelope need to have all foreign documents in it when it is returned to NVC, things like police cert, marriage cert, birth cert, ETC...

AOS package means I-864 and supporting documents such as tax return copy, tax transcript, and/or employment verification letter.

Because of tax return copy or tax transcript, you may need that big envelope.

There will be another batch of documents for DS-230 and supporting document.

Keep in mind AOS for the most part = Adjustment Of Status which has to do with K-Visas. You may want to say "Affidavit of Support" OR I-864 Packet to avoid confusion.

There are two types of I-864 that you may use.

I-864 (The LONG form)

I-864EZ (The EASY one) This one can be used IF (You are sponsoring only ONE immigrant, Are NOT using assets (INCOME ONLY), and are NOT using a joint sponsor)

Be careful.

Nowadays NVC may not send actual papers via USPS.

If you pay via NVC website portal, they may just change your case to "PAID", and have another link listed under your case, so you may have to print out instructions and forms from listed website.

What a digital life it is!

Sometimes they email you PDF files for cover sheet and required document list if you register your email with them.

Make sure that your email system doesn't filter them as SPAM.
