there is something else I am concerned now. My American husband and I lived together since November last year, we got married in January. I am not on the lease though. He is on the lease and some other roomates. It is less than a month before our immigration interview. We stil live together, but he probably wants to move in with a friend of his.

I'm gonna move there with them, too. I don't know if it's gonna end up being a good relationship between the 3 of us... so what if I would move out only weeks later? Could that harm me?

Everyone keeps on saying that my husband only needs to come to the immigration interview with me.

We need lease, health care, and a joined bank account??? Right? My husband lost his job and he is in physical therapy... if he ends up leaving me anytime soon, would that mean that I would have to pay for his medical bills until we get divorced, same with joined bank account, what if he would overdraw the bank account is that possible and I would have to pay for it even though he would overdraw it? When does an application for the greencard get approved.... right at the interview? I mean or is there a time you have to wait, before it gets approved? What if I don't wanna live with my husband after the interview anymore, but we still stay together? I am so scared to do something wrong and I mean you seem like you know a lot about this stuff can you please take your time and read through everything carefully....

My husband and I have more than 1300 pictures together that I printed out in wallet size that documents our trips to Europe, trips to and with family, theme parks, honey moon, a wedding we both attended, working together here and in Germany, our wedding.... Additionally I'm gonna try to get a letter from each of our parents notarily signed that they have met both of us liked us and that we stayed with them to visit.

I have mail adressed to me and my husband in the house we live right now. I collected cards, signed from family and friends for wedding, Christmas and valentines day and a wedding invitation adressed to both of us.

We don't have a joined bank account, but we would get it.

We don't have insurance together, but we would get that too.

We do have a place together with 2 roomates now in which we lived together since November, but only he is on the lease is that really bad?

I know we definately have to get a lease together before the interview right? Say we would sign a lease together for 6 months, are they still gonna be alright with this at immigration? I mean wouldn't they think it's strange that we signed one so shortly before the immigration interview or is it a plus cause that way they see oh heyyyyy they just signed a lease together so that means they definately look on staying together for a while???

Can you answer me all those questions?

THank you very much?

Can you answer me all those questions?
Before anyone can meaningfully help you, you need to complete your VJ timeline. Also, you have posted in the "U.S. Consulate" forum, but your questions seem to refer to Adjustment of Status, so this too is unclear; please clarify the exact VJ forum in which your post belongs. Finally, have you read the VJ Guides (atop every page) that apply to your situation? Do all of these things, and people might be able to help you.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
