Hi @ all,

I am a little confused here: I thought for the AOS a notarized copy of my husband's (he is American) birth certificate would be sufficient. In one of the guides here I just read: copy of US Citizen's passport needed. Is that true? He doesnt know where he put it - does he now have to apply for a new one? Isn't his driver's licence or birth certificate which clearly indicates that he was born in CA sufficient? It would throw us back 6 weeks. :(

Thanks a lot!

Don't think you need the passport. My husband doesn't have one either. Can't see the problem as long as there is a certified birth cert

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

At my husband's AOS interview on Monday, they didn't even ask for my birth certificate, let alone my passport. She didn't look at our pictures either. When I asked her if she wanted to see them, she said, If I didn't believe you had a valid marriage, I could ask you for the moon. But I don't need to see the pictures, I'm satisfied with the evidence. Or something to that effect.
