I am pretty sure you can take adult education classes. I have called my local community services for my husband and he can take some classes. These are not "college credit" classes though. Try call admissions at the school you are interested in. They will tell you exactly what you need. I THINK you need you GC but I am not sure. Someone else on here probably knows for sure.

No, you don't need GC. Just evidence that you are legally in the US. The trick is providing clear transcripts of prior education.

This may vary by university and if it's a state university, it may vary by state.

yes, you can study... however, you will be paying a non-resident rate on your tuition if you choose state university. That's usually way higher than the resident rate.

I would definitely prepare some transcript and translation for whatever you had studied in your original homeland.
