I'm getting ready to start the whole process. What I am concern with are the fees. How much will my fiance need to bring with him to the USEM and anyone that has already been through this, what is the total amount spent for the visa?

$355 sent when you file I-30

Fees for any translation of documents

$70 before you file the I-864

Fees for Police Certificate Clearances from everywhere he has stayed longer than 6 months after the age of 16 (1 year for countries outside his country of birth)

Fees for Certified copy of Birth Certificate

$400 before you send the DS-230

Fees for medical exams (shots, checkups, xrays, tests)

I think I got them all.

Please note these are the fees associated with the IR1/CR1 visa only. I don't know the fees for the other visa types (K1, K3)

I've read over and over all of those things and really get nowhere with it. I would like to be as prepared as possible before we start this so there are no surprises. Also, if my fiance has already had the vaccinations and a recent medical exam by his personal doc, will he still have to have the exam?

Lots of info but why post the OP is a K1 petitioner. None of this applies to a K1
