Hi, Everyone!

So, my question is where a Belarusian citizen should go for their K-1 interview: Kiev (Ukraine) or Warsaw (Poland)? American embassy in Belarus says all immigrant visas for Belarusian citizens are processed in Poland, non-immigrant visas can be processed in Russia and Ukraine in addition to Poland.

Now, K-1 is technically not an immigrant visa, although it is processed in a much similar way to K-3. Can my fiance go to Kiev (it is much closer, cheaper and more convenient as she would not need to get a separate Polish visa) for her K-1 interview? I need to indicate the embassy for the intervew on the I-129F from right now and I am confused.

Maybe someone had experience with this...:wacko:

K-1 is NON-Immigrant HOWEVER it has immigrant intent and is handled by the IMMIGRANT Visa Unit, if the consulate does not have an IV Unit, NVC will send the packet to the appropriate consulate that does handle immigrant visas for Belarus.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

NVC will send it to the correct consulate. If it is not Warsaw, they will let you know.
