As long as you have other Ids you won't have a problem. Drivers license will work.

TO be honest it is the only ID i have :( All i have right now are photocopies of passport, visa and entry provided by our immigration lawyer. But i can provide copies of birth and marriage certs. Would these suffice? Thanks for responding. by the way, am i eligible to apply for a state ID? Came here as a tourist. My boyfriend proposed and i accepted. supposed to get married next year. Go back home to the Philippines first then come back here but we decided at the last minute to go through with it 2 months before my stay was due.

I must be confusing you guys , sorry. talking too much i guess...just worried we wont be able to figure something out. we have been waiting awhile for this.

thanks again and hoping to hear some response too

Why do you carry your passport around? Especially since it's the only thing that can identify who you are.

I hope you learned your lesson.

oh yes! i learned my lesson..but just in case you dont know. here in the US everyone must carry an ID at all times and since it is the only ID i have i carry it wherever I go.

very sad but i am hoping we can figure out a way

Good day! I found my Philippine Voter's ID. Will this work?

Maybe. Just explain to the officer that you lost your passport. Bring your voter's ID and birth certificate. Try remembering where you dropped your passport. I hope you find it. It is very important. You can't apply for a state ID without a passport.

Good Luck!

Thank you so much for your advice and kind words very much appreciated.

We went to our local licensing office yesterday and presented whatever documentation we have including the voter's ID. I am expecting a call from them anytime today if it was approved by their superior as they emailed him my presented docs and informed him of the situation. Hopefully they will consider.
