mag-4 weeks na sya this friday...

Awwwwww...Zen he is so cute!!! Laki pala ng baby mo.

Yup 2 days ahead ka sa akin. My baby is only 37.2 days..dapat Oct 30 pa due date ko but he decided na gusto nya na lumabas.

Princess- OK naman si Jacob(Zachary)...mag 1 month na sya this Nov. 11 and he is getting so heavy. Yong isang lata ng Enfamil di naabot ng isang linggo.

Pink-depende kung kaya mo yong pain. Ako kasi I labor for 20 hrs...and can't bear the pain. Pero I did waited for 12 hrs na walang pain medication pero nong every 2 minutes na yong interval ng contractions ko and I'm only like 3cm dilated that is when I asked na for the epidural. Di naman masyado masakit yong paglagay ng cathether sa likod kasi may nilalagay naman sila na pang numb. And yes if you have epidural you don't feel any pain at all kasi numb na yong kalahati ng katawan mo.

Well, it's not so much about height. The first delivery I did when I started my practice was a 4-ft mom in her 2nd pregnancy and she delivered normally to a breech ("suhi")- presenting baby girl who weighed nearly 8 lbs. couldn't rush her to the OR kasi lumabas na yung isang paa.

It's more about the size of the pelvic outlet. There are (if I remember right) about 4 types of pelvises. A flat pelvis is a platypeloid one (again, if i remember right). The antero-posterior, or front-to-back diameter is short although the side-to-side diameter is wide or normal. The outlet of this kind of pelvis may be too small for the baby's largest presenting part (i.e. the head) to go through, resulting in a failure of descent. This warrants a CS delivery. An OB may be able to determine whether or not the outlet is adequate enough through the IE (internal exam), although most will still opt to try to deliver normally (trial of labor). I had a CS due to emergent indications and baby did not descend. My OB then did tell me that I can still try to deliver normally this time, but she also said that it may most likely result in another CS due to a slightly small outlet. My present OB has scheduled me for a repeat CS kasi most probably daw na mas malaki itong baby than my daughter was (she was 8.2 lbs).

yup I agree, CS uso dito because mas malaki daw ang claim sa mga insurance thats according doon sa forum na nabasa ko im not sure kung totoo yun..

my first son, natural wlang epi kaya naman ang labor pain, etong 2nd baby ko is my epi until now parang sore pa rin ang back ko, im going to complain about this back pain during my postpartum appointment..

Hi marybeth,

I just had my one hour oral glucose tolerance test this morning and monthly visit to my OBGYNE. This is how I did the test/exam:

On my previous appointment, I was provided a bottle of glucola which I was instructed to drink it on the day of my examination within five (5) minutes.

Before I drank the glucola, I just ate a light breakfast (1 pack of oatmeal with milk, no sugar/syrup added). One should avoid foods containing large amounts of sugar such as pancakes with syrup, doughnuts, pasta, fruits etc. I did not eat or drink anything after finishing the glucola.

I reported to the laboratory 45 minutes after finishing the glucola drink. My blood was drawn exactly one hour after I finished the drink.

When you will have that examination, I guess you will also be provided instructions which are almost similar to this for 1 hr GTT.

Congrats sa mga mommies who gave birth...Your babies are so adorable. Same here, I wish a normal delivery.

sabi ng ob-gyn ok lang kung flat ang pelvis (masikip ang dadaanan nung baby) kasi pwedeng gawan ng paraan sa position ng labor at pushing.

kaso nagkataon na kasi short din ako (4"9.5) at sinamahan pa nung resulta nung 8th month ultrasound kung saan nakita na 6.5 na yung baby (so lumalaki pa) kaya sabi ng dr. wag na lang akong magtake ng chance at magpagod sa labor dahil malaki ang chance na ma-c section ako after, so diretso na lang.
