My husband came on a K3 visa and has already recieved his 2 year greencard. Our lawyer took care of most of that but told us that in August 2009 we would need to apply for a 10 year greencard because we were not married for 2 years so I guess we got the conditional card. I am confused and wonder what I need to do this August?? What documents do we need and what do we do ? Am I applying to remove conditions or is that a later step? Please help us if you can

Much appreciation

Kristy

Correct, you will be applying to remove conditions. Follow the guide here on VJ. The I-751 can be filed no earlier than 90 days before your husband's green card EXPIRES.

Check his card for the expiration date and mark the date 90 days earlier on the calendar.

Here is another question I forgot to add...I am graduating college in the first week of August and I dont know where I will get a job but I know we will be moving so what would I do about that issue--we are moving to unknown location or can I have the card sent to my parents home since I dont know where we will be moving to? I know for a fact we wont be living in this address in september

I would say use your parents address so you wont miss any mails, notices from USCIS.Is it the same address that you used when you filed the petition? If not you have to notify USCIS by filing AR-11 for the immigrant and I-865 For the sponsor (USC spouse) for the change of address when you move. Good luck.

What's the expiration date on the card? If it's expiring on Nov 08, then you can file after you got the new correct address, no need to use the parents address, because you have a 90 day window. If it's expiring on Aug 08, then you can file May 08, you can choose to use your current address, then file AR-11 online (mandatory) plus call mis-information line/make infopass to make sure your new address is updated on the I-751. I heard that you can put a mailing address as your parents address and may be they will mail all correspondenses to that address, but I've heard that doesn't work for many people. Remember to also file address change with USPS, that you can also do it online.

Btw, are you at CSC or VSC? If it's at CSC, then you should get it approve really fast if you submit tons of evidence, like around 3 months, then may be if you file on May 08, get the GC in hand before you moved on Aug 08, then you would have nothing to worry about, but that's a bet on your luck. Hope that helps!
