Life insurance will generally have pricing such as that if you get a doctor's exam, it might be $40/month. If you don't get a doctor's exam, it would be $50/month.

Your spouse would never know. Aside from the premiums being mailed to the house. But you can usually pay those yearly.

Right, I watch an awful lot of "Forensic Files" and the like on Tru TV. One of the common themes for the offing of the murder victims is, unsurprisingly, money, more specifically the proceeds from life insurance policies.

Now during a lot of FF episodes, the narrator will say stuff like, "as investigators delved deeper into the case, they discovered that a possible motive for Jean's murder was money, as John had recently taken out a $250,000 life insurance policy on her, naming himself as a the beneficary..."

So let me get this straight: I can go to an insurance agent, take out a whopping great life insurance policy on the wife, and name myself as beneficiary without her knowing ANYTHING about it? No medical, no courtesy phone call from the insurance company, nothing???

Seriously, is this how it works?

In other words, if that 'teenager angst' situation gets totally out of control and the only option is to off the wife, you can profit from it as well. A 2fer!

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Husband got us some life insurance through military while he was on 2-week training - needless to say, someone signed my name as I wasn't there (did know about it).

Got hubby supplemental insurance through work - just answered 3 questions and he was in - nothing ever mailed to our house, comes right out of my paycheck. All with his knowledge od course.

so if i'm sitting here thinking of 'high risk life style' folks i could put a LI policy on, does that make me a bad person?

No, it's my business model.

I round up bums who are likely to die soon and take out life insurance policies on them.

When they die of natural causes, I collect.

That's how I made my first million.

:P
