I had no idea about this and now am worried there may be other things I am missing!

i am on a J1 (no 2 yr rule) and have just married a US citizen.

right now I am submitting:

-i-485

with my husbands i-130 and both of us have filled in G-325A

Does this look correct?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

You may want to start here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide2

I-130 requires passport pics, and a G-325A from both petitioner and benificiary, I-485 needs a G-325A from the person applying to adjust status.

Your profile says K-3, yet you are adjusting from a J-Visa??

although it's not entirely clear, you do need to have the medical exam done before you file. this website has a civil surgeon locator on the left sidebar. go to that link, type in your zipcode, and it will give you a list of civil surgeons in your area. your medical MUST be done by a civil surgeon. contact your doctor's office back in your home country and get a record of all prior vaccinations, from childhood till now. they can fax it or email it to you - check ahead with your civil surgeon, but the record i took in was just a list of my vaccs on a letterhead document from my doctor back home, and it was fine.
