Calling all Yardies, we finally got approved on April 7th...pause for applause....

Now what?? What do we really need to bring with us on this interview and about how long do I have to wait for the interview date? I just came back from Jamaica this morn and while I was there, I made sure that I put together all the paperwork we might need for this interview. If anyone has gone thru this already, could u please walk me thru what to expect (when expecting...lol..couldn't help it)?

What other fees do we have to pay?

When do we pay those fees?

What if he does not receive the letter in the mail? Who do I call?

What if he cannot find his vaccination records?

How early should we arrive for the interview?

What should we bring to the interview?

Should a jp sign the back of his pics?

How many pics should he have?

Do i need to submit pics as well?

How long is the wait for the visa after being approved?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Only fee left is the visa fee which i think is about $750JA and you pay that at the interview when you get approved. When I went through it it was through DHL not sure if they are still using DHL as their carrier...You would call NVC if you haven't received the interview letter since you are doing a CR-1 but you won't get it until they assign you your interview date...i think hubby got his like two weeks after we got our interview date (by calling NVC and pestering them)but i received mine like one week after so if you get yours first you could always scan and email your hubby your copy...i doesn't really matter if he doesn't have his vaccine records...i think the hospital does test to see if your hubby got the vaccine or not...he is going to get at least one shot which is the MMR...they give it to you regardless if you took it or not...don't know why...hubby paid $8,000JA but it varies...some paid more...he went to the one in Montego Bay...my hubby went a 1/2 hour earlier but i don't think it really matters because you waiting on line outside anyway waiting for them to check your name off their list...bring everything you can as back up even though they might not look at it...better safe than sorry...i had all copies of my filings from I-130 to DS230 plus NOA1 & 2, pictures, phone records, receipts for gift, airplane iternaries...out of all that the interviewer only looked at my pictures...the most important things to bring is the Interview Letter, Medical Record (they give it to you sealed and you have to keep sealed), 4 passport pictures, and Police Certificate (they didn't look at my hubby second copy but better safe than sorry)...JP doesn't have to sign the passport pics and you don't have to submit passport pics for yourself just hubby needs them...the wait vaires for the visa...my hubby waited only 3 days after the interview to get his visa but others have waited much longer so can't really give you a definite answer for that...Hopefully i answered all your questions and it was clear enough...ask away if you have anymore...

THANX A BUNCH.

Wow, that's great!!!!!!! Congrats. My husband's case was completed on April 20, 2009 and an agent from the NVC advised me to call back around the 2nd week in May for a interview date in June. Because they are currently booked up for the month of May in Kingston. She stated they will be scheduling June interviews around the 2nd week in May. So stay on them. I am. This journey has been LOOOOOOOOOOONG, however, it is not as long as it has been. Gods Will, he will be here in June............... :innocent::dance:
