I just called the embassy today and asked for the status of my k3 application, and the customer service i talked to in the immigrant visa said that as of April 7, my papers are still under review and the turn-over period is 6 months so call them back after 6 months. She said I might be called for another interview, or to submit additional documents, and I will be notified for another instructions. I am very dismayed because i was done with the fraud unit, and I thought everything was okay I have submitted all the documents they required, I answered all the questions with all honesty. I am just wondering now, if my papers will be under another review in the immigrant visa unit, why my interviewer in the fraud unit returned to me the 600 pages chats, the emails from my husband, the emails to my husband, the 300 copies of pictures together i brought that day, they are proofs of our relationship. I don't know what to do next.....................

So sorry Ariesgirl, I was looking for an update from your k3 forum post. I was really hoping for good news for you guys.

(F)

You could totally go forward with the CR1 application. However, they will see the fraud unit referral and review of your k3. It will most likely sway their decision.

Good Luck and I hope its not the full 6 months. Please have your husband be the one that calls and checks on the status.

Lisa

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately, the Embassy leaves the burden of proof on you.

Has your USC husband called the visa unit? I called every week when my wife was on DV Administrative Review. The two ladies got so tired of mre calling they went back to check on the case a few times. Maybe it will help for your husband to call and/or contact his senator's offices..

My husband's congressman's office already made an inquiry thru email last march 19 and received a reply last April 2 and i will quote ......

" The applicant was interviewed by a consular officer on February 23, 2009. The case was referred for further review.

We understand that the Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU) has completed its review of the case. As soon as the adjudicating officer is able to review the information, we will contact the applicant to resume processing the visa application.

If the applicant would like to inquire further about the status of the visa case, she may contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center in Manila at 1-909-101-7878. This number is for subscribers of PLDT and Smart telephone touchtone landlines with national and international distance dialing features (NDD or IDD access). Callers in the USA can contact the Call Center at 1-888-877-9888. The Call Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Manila time). There is a fee assessed to callers by the Call Center for its services."

i am sorry to hear this. i hope you'll get your visa soon and i think there wont be any interview... maybe its just an SOP for her to say about another interview etc... but "if" ever you'd call for another one, would it be better if your husband will go w/ you during the interview even if he wont be allowed inside the room, at least they will see that he's present and supporting you all the way... may God bless you!

Have hubby CALL his senator naman. Senators seem to have more "pull" than congressmen. At least that's the way it was in our case.

My husband is 33 years older than me and we didn't have any problem regarding our ages, the C.O just asked me how did I feel marrying an older guy and I answered that I love it because he is mature and knows how to take care of me and that he love me very much and me too to him. I hope you and your husband be together soon, I know how it feels.

Goodluck!
