"Honor" killings in Morocco?

Magreb is liberal so not much honour killings. But who knows more and more insane ppl coming from ME to NA ... with the extreme religion ... stupid chit like will come too!

Actually its not "extreme religion" its extreme ingnorance . Also people always talk about those things that happen in other countries. However does anyone watch the news here in USA.. umm well there are alot of killings of wifes , children, and whole familys by the husband, the boyfriend, the father, the wife even. so it happens here to. Only we never say honor killilngs.

No, extreme religion and ignorance are one and the same. If someone is practising normally, as the first Muslims did back then according to the texts... issues like this, cultural issues would not overrule Islamic teachings thus not happen. These types of occurances whether in Muslim countries or not ... happen since the people's culture is interupted/taught as religion ... examples: polgamous marriages in the Moron church, honour killings in Islam, drinking wine/eating pork in Christianity ... all examples of how religion was turned to suit some people's personal ideals (culture) ...

Personally, when I think of extreme Islam ... I think of how people worry about outer layer of (the onion) of Islam ... but the true core ... it baffles me how important some ppl make issues like wearing (or not) niqab, men with beards, twisting and turning, then making things Allah made halaal into haraam ... I find most of these people are truly hiding from the core of Islam: the belief and worship.

I prefer if I had to choose, to be human, strive to do my best by the laws/framework Allah gave me for this life ... be honest, do charity, do my pillars and be kind. (Sorry if this comes strange ... but I really question the extreme people in this world) esp Muslims ... even our Prophet (saw) was a moderate!
