Hi guys, I have been reading the posts on this website for a month now and find them extremely helpful. I was hoping someone could help me with a few questions. Let me give you a little background.

I am a F-1 student on OPT and am filing the I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131 together. I got married in November of 08 and have been trying to assemble all the information needed for filing since.

1) Because my spouse doesn't earn enough money on her own we are going to use her father as a joint sponsor. For the joint sponsor, in part 5 of the I-864 it says to put down the household members of the sponsor including me the sponsored immigrant. Then on question 21.h it says to add them all together including the sponsoring immigrant, however I am not part of that household. I live independtly with my spouse. Because they are sponsoring me do I become part of there household? For example, if the father (joint sponsor) is married and has a son who is dependent they have 3 people in the household. Then would they add me and the number would be 4 for question 21 h for the joint sponsors form?

2) The other question I have is that my OPT will end in 2 months and from then I have 60 days to stay in the U.S. Am I able to stay in the U.S. while I am waiting for my AOS to go through or am I supposed to leave.

Thank you for your help

Yes, using your example of the (joint sponsor) father + wife + son + sponsored immigrant = 4 on line 21 h.
