My buddy joined Army last year after he received his permanent resident card and he is currently serving in Texas.

He found out that he is able to apply for the US citizenship in fast track couple months back and he's really excited about it.

He, however, is confused about the processes and whether he is a eligible candidate for the program.

Anyone care to share? Someone told him all he needed was 6 months of active duty and he's eligible ?

IT USED TO BE 2 YEARS WAITING TO 1 YEAR BEFORE THE PRESIDENT SIGNED AN ORDER STATING AS EARLY AS OF 6 MONTHS HE WILL BE QUALIFIED TO BE US CITIZEN AS LONG AS HE IS WEARING THE UNIFORM. HAVE HIM TALK TO THE JAG IN HIS MILITARY BASE, THEY WILL HELP HIM SUBMIT IS N400 AND THE REST OF THE DOCUMENTS. HE WILL ALSO FILL CERTAIN FORMS PERTAINING THAT HE IS A SOLDIERS, COPY OF HIS MILITARY ID CARD, ORDERS...ETC.
