POE question

This might be a very stupid question but for some reason I can't find the answer on my own. The Point of Entry, is that the first destination you arrive at or the final one?

In my case, I go from Kyiv to Chicago-Ohare. My travel route is Kiev-JFK, JFK-Chicago. So is Chicago the POE or JFK?

Thanks for the answers in advance and for patience with the stupid question :).

The POE is the place where you go through immigration inspection in the US. This is done on the first US airport you arrive at. Your POE will be JFK.

JFK. Same place Alla came through. We had no problems to speak of other than the usual kind rude people that work at JFK.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
