Hi, I have to send the I-751 package in 2 weeks and I am a little confused to whom the check should be made payable to: on the USCIS website it is clearly stated that the check s/b made payable to "US Department of Homeland Security" - apparently some people rec'd a letter that the payee information is incorrect - this is a fraction of the letter that I found in one of the posts:

"NOTE: Since the reorganization of the INS into three new agencies under the Department of Homeland Security, there has been confusion regarding who remittances should be made payable to. To ensure proper processing of future applications, please make check payable and/or money orders payable to "Department of Homeland Security" or "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services."

Does this make any sense to you guys?

Thank you.

2. Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Like JGK said, it should be made out to U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Read the I-751 Instructions again please.
