I'm sure its here somewhere and everyone has answered it 100 times.

But I'm(Noah) am not to good at looking stuff up in VJ.

So here it is. What can we look for after she arrives. What forms and paper need to

be prepared? How much Money will we need? Basically whats the whole run down.

After her arrival. AOS and Work. Can you direct me to a forum or thread answering this.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

Check the Guides up top...

AOS in particular...

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

I'd start here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...om&page=ssn with getting a Social Security card. Scroll down to the section for K1 visa holders. Read it and pay attention to where it explains to go in 2 weeks and why too early or too late isn't good. Apply in her name as written on her I-94 card she gets at POE (unmarried name.) Change the name later after green card.

Get married. Call your county courthouse and ask what you need to get a marriage license because it depends on the state where you marry. Also get a certified copy of your marriage certificate.

Apply for AOS/EAD/AP--3 separate applications with required documents for each, but mailed together in the same envelope. See instructions for the I-485 (AOS) on where to mail. Cost $1010. I-864 (EAD) is for work permit. I-131 (AP) is for travel if she needs to leave the US before she gets a green card. It allows her back in since her K1 can't be used but the one time for entry. EAD & AP are free with AOS application ($1010)
