Civil Surgeon to complete vaccination section

Quick question...

I just called several civil surgeons to see if they could "complete the vaccination section" for our AOS. They said that they wont sign anything unless he does the complete physical with them... and their first appt is after his k-1 expires...

are they confused? or am I asking for the wrong thing?

anyone had problems with this? any civil surgeon recommendations in st louis/missouri?

We're having this very same problem. People are downright refusing to do his vaccination supplement without the full medical, and even refusing to do his medical after we caved in because we've questioned their authority. This has happened at two surgeons so far. We've filed an official complaint with USCIS, and I encourage you to do the same. They are violating their role as a civil surgeon and are ignoring the rules set by by the USCIS. I've read that physicians could possibly have their status as a civil surgeon revoked for doing this, although I'm not sure how true that is.

We're contacting Dr. Arnold tomorrow. So fed up with this.

We've been having the same problem. The only CS that would agree to do it charges the same cost as the medical exam, $250. Outrageous. I am seriously considering using Dr. Arnold also but he won't transcribe the TB skin test results, so I don't know what to do about that issue. We did send in our AOS without the I-693, only the DS-3025, and are expecting a RFE.

Yes, we sent the DS form with the vaccinations.

I experienced same problem. I tried to call five civil surgeon near us. They're telling me that I need a full medical plus the vaccination I need and the price varies from $500 to $1000. Last person I talked, transcribing the vaccination will costs $150. I contacted Dr. Arnold and I send it yesterday. Now, my husband is worried sending the documents half way. Question: When will I received the sealed envelop? Is there a possibility that they won't send it back?

hi, you really don't need another medical exam. I had my I-693 transcribed by Dr. Arnold though he didn't transcribed my tb test & received the sealed envelop in just 3 days. I had my tb test done and sent t along with my AOS. So far I didn't received any RFE.

I sent everything off to Dr Arnold to have transcribed onto the I-693.

The TBT wasn't one of the things that i was told was a requirement by Dr Arnolds office but if i need to get the TB test done later i will get it done.

Using Dr Arnold was definately a breath of fresh air after the runaround from local civil surgeons and at $30 i'm happy!!

Also. where are the results of the tb test? I know he had one, because he needed to have a chest xray and we carted it here for future use (because of his tb vaccination, he will always test positive). Maybe we should just send in the xray... haha.

I'm going to try to call him on monday too. Here in Fairfield they charge $100 but still $30 is a lot cheaper esp. with this economy.
