Hello guys! My husbands interview date is coming up soon and i am so nervous. Even though we have everything ready: proof of support, proof of on going relationship, etc........i still have a feeling im still missing something! I guess that feeling wont go away till the interview is finally over!

-Since my husband made 3-ring binders for everything and he was planning to put everything in a bag and take it with him. But recently i read online that you cant take purses and bags to the embassy. Then how are we suppose to take our stuff? Carry it in our arms?

-What should he wear to the interview?

-We had a young marriage (well thats what i think) he was 22 and i was 19 when we got married now hes 23 and im 20...........would that be an issue?

-And i have many more questions but when im writing this post i cant think of any!

Well if anyone could give ANY tips for my husbands interview.... :innocent: ... I would really really really appreciate it alot! Wish you all the best of luck through your journey~~~

Am also preparing for the interview myself. You can read USEM reviews in the US Consulates forum. I didn't know bags weren't allowed. But age? No, what they get suspicious of is when there's a huge age gap between the partners, like the man being twice the age of the woman or more.

The rules depend on each USEM's policies.

Beneficiary should review all the petitioner's details as entered in the forms. Memorize them since the interviewer may ask about them to see how well the beneficiary knows the petitioner. Like names of parents, age, surname spelling, income, list of past employers, etc.

Proofs of relationship:

- photos

- proof of joint accounts

- proof of joint tenance

- money transfers

- leters from / photos with family

- movie tickets

- phone bills

- insurance

- email, chat

- package receipts

I'm sure there'll be more competent advice from those who've already been there. Go read the "visa approved" and "passed interview" threads and ask them how they did it. :)

binders would be ok, be sure he knows about you and your family, your work, show some proof of the marriage, (bank, insurances, etc) be sure he takes all that his embassy asks for and be prepared. Act prepared, enter follow their instructions, when waiting do not sit there and shuffle thru his papers but sit patiently, watching a tv if there, they normally are watching you at all time. When talking look straight at the interviewer eyes, dont try to answer more than they ask, dont try to joke or be funny with them and the most important always tell the truth. If the question is not understood ask for it repeated, dress like a business casual
