K1 Interview Montreal - Supporting evidence to bring for I-134?

I am currently in the US visiting my fiancé so I do not have the exact checklist in front of me but I am wondering what I need from HIM to take to the interview. I want to gather it all before I leave here soon and head back to Canada.

What supporting evidence of his income/assets do I need to bring to the interview with me?

It states this on the Visajourney FAQ:

You will receive an information sheet about financial support (OF-167). The US Citizen NEEDS TO KNOW if the Consulate requires any special documentation with the I-134 (i.e. 3 years of income tax returns instead of just one)

We have a letter from his employer stating how much he makes, and a letter from his bank stating his account info and I can get copies of his tax returns. Will I need to take evidence of his home assets such as home deeds, a housing assessment by a realtor etc??

Typically all consulates treat the I-134 like I-864 and require same types of evidence.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

• I-134.

• SIMPLE Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq/0,,id=199557,00.html

• Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years (Not necessary if you provide the transcripts)

• Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.

• Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

My income was well above the povertyline so I did not include any asset data (LIKE BANK STATEMENTS or property values).

We gave them:

A copy of his W2

A letter from his employer

Copies of 5 pay stubs (the most recent)

Letters from the bank showing his checking and savings account balance (this included an analysis of his average monthly balances for the past 12 months to show that he always has money in there, we didn't ask for this, but I though it was a nice addition).

If he makes well above the poverty line, they will not ask for anything major.
