Same here, I'm also a beginner in cooking. I have another recipe to share. Maybe you will like this the same as I do. It's easy to prepare and it's yummy.

FISH MENUDO RECIPE

Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg fish, filleted and cut into 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” cubes

• 3/4 tbsp calamansi juice

• 2 cloves garlic, crushed

• 1 pc small onion, chopped

• 150 g potatoes, cut into cubes

• 100 g carrot, cut into cubes

• 1 pouch (115 g) DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce

• 1/4 cup cooked/frozen green peas

• 1 pc small red bell pepper, cut into strips

Cooking Instructions:

• Marinate fish in 1-1/3 tsp soy sauce, 1/8 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp rock salt), calamansi juice and 1/4 tsp pepper for 30 minutes.

• Fry until brown. Set aside.

• SAUTÉ garlic and onion. Add potatoes, carrot, DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce and 1/4 cup water.

• Simmer until vegetables are cooked. Add green peas, bell pepper and 1/3 tsp iodized fine salt or (1/3 tbsp iodized rock salt). Add fish.

• Simmer for 3 minutes.

It is true that there are a lot of recipes online. Google a recipe and you get a lot of hits.

The thing is, I wanted something more personal, like I said, recipes that we have cooked, tried and tested, and enjoyed eating ourselves. I have never tried fish for menudo, since alienlovechild has tried it and claimed it yummy, I will definitely give that one a try, too.

So why not share those recipes or even post your recipe queries here? Like if you are in search for jollibee chickenjoy-like, crispy fried chicken...who knows, someone here might actually have THAT particular recipe. (Actually I am the one in search for the crispiest, yummiest fried chicken recipe lol)

My own version of Curry Fried Rice!!!!

Rice

Chicken breast cut into cubes or srtips.

Pine apple chunks

Curry powder

Garlic,minced.

Ginger 2-3 small slices.

salt

Saute garlic and ginger add chicken. Stir until chicken is done. Add curry powder, stir, add rice mix well and lastly add the pineapple chunks...garnish with fried garlic..

Here is my version of adobong kambing. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 k. kambing spareribs, cut into serving pieces, bones intact

2 thumb size ginger, sliced

1/2 head garlic, crushed

1 large onion, sliced

1 tsp. peppercorns

2 stalk lemon grass

3 bay leaf

1/2 c. soy sauce

3-5 pcs. green hot chilli

3/4 c. vinegar

salt and pepper

cooking oil

Cooking procedure:

Marinate kambing in 1/2 c. vinegar, 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper for 15 to 30 minutes before cooking. Drain and discard marinade. In a frying pan fry kambing in batches until color changes to golden brown and start to sizzle. I a saucepan put in fried kambing, pour in 2-3 c. of water, 1/4 c. vinegar and soy sauce. Add lemon grass, ginger, onion, garlic, peppercorns, bay leaf and chilli. Bring to a boil and simmer in medium heat for 15-30 minutes or until tender and liquid is reduced to almost dry. Serve hot with a lot of rice.

This is how i pan-fry my fish... Squeeze a few amount of lemon juice. Rub with salt and pepper. Then pan fry.

I just rub it with salt and corn starch..crunchy at hindi tumatalsik ang mantika..try it people...

Have you tried plain bread crumbs with fish. Quite crunchy too.

Have you tried plain bread crumbs with fish. Quite crunchy too.

Haven't tried yet,i use bread crumbs with my ckicken,but can use a replacement for corn starch i guess (in case i run out)Thank's for the tip sis!:)

I finally found my recipe book..so i can share one of my favorite pizza..

Serves 4.

Ingredients:

1 sachet of pizza dough mix

8-10 asparagus spears

4 tablespoons shop bought pesto

140g/ 5oz. taleggio (soft italian cheese)

14-16 cherry tomatoes

Rosemary sprigs

2 tablespoons grated parmesa

small handful of basil leaves (torn if large)

Method

1) Preheat the oven to 200c/400F Gas Mark 6,Make up the pizza dough following the pack instructions.Roll out to a 25 cm/ 10in round and transfer to an oiled baking sheet.Cover and leave to rise while you prepare the topping.

2)Trim any woody ends from the asparagusthen diagonally cut each spear in half.Cook in a pan of boiling salted water for three minutes,then drain and cool quickly under running cold water.Pat dry with kitchen paper.

3)Spread the pesto over the pizza base,taking it almost to the edge.slice the taleggio (no need to remove the rind).Scatter the asparagus,taleggio,tomatoes,and rosemary springs over the pesto,then sprinkle with grated Parmesan.

4)Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes,until browned and crisp at the edges.Scatter the basil leaves on top and serve.:)

Hubby loves this one though he dont enjoy eating seafoods..This recipe called "Prawn curry"and by adding more curry paste or more greek yoghurt you can alter the heat of this curry.The prawns should be fresh,large and succulent.

Serves four:

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon sunflower oil

1 onion,chopped

1 clove garlic,crushed

2 tablespoons indian curry paste,eg madras

230g/ 7 1/2oz tin of tomatoes

340g/ 12 oz. raw prawns,peeled and deveined

5 tablespoons greek yoghurt

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

To serve:Rice,Chopped coriander

Method

1)Heat the oil in a large saucepan and cook the onion over a low heat for ten minutes,or until nearly soft.

2)Add the garlic and curry paste and cook for a further 30 seconds.Add the tomatoes,bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

3)Add the prawns and simmer for a further 3 minutes or until cooked.

4)Stir in the greek yoghurt and coriander and then serve immidiately with rice.

Anyhow maybe most of you think why i didn't use coconut milk for this recipe, i tried yoghurt and it taste better....you will love it for sure..:)

Now maybe some of us craving for cake:)this delicious cherry and coconut cake is ideal for tea time treat.It freezes well,so if you have two suitable cake tins,bake one for eating and one for freezing.Dried cherries are available for sure in most supermarkets in the us...Preparation time 15 minutes.Cooking time 1 1/4 hours.

Ingredients:

140g/ 5oz.dried cherries

225g/ 8oz.golden caster sugar

225g/ 8oz.butter,softened

2 eggs beaten

170g/ 8oz.mascarpone

8 table spoons milk (powder)

225g/ 8oz. self-raising flour

125g/ 4 1/2oz.desiccated coconut

Method

1)Preheat the oven to 160C/ 325F/ Gas mark 3.Grease a 22 cm (9in)loose-bottomed cake tinand line the base with greaseproof paper.

2)put the dried cherries in a bowl,cover with boiling water,leave to stand for 15 minutes,then drain.

3)Meanwhile,beat the butter and sugar togetherin a bowl until light and fluffy.

4)Add the eggs a little bit at a time,beating well between each addition.Add the mascarpone and beat lightly.Add half of the milk.

5)Fold in the flour and 110g/(4oz)of the coconut,then stir in the soaked cherries.Add enough of the remaining milk to achieve a soft dropping consistency.

6)Pile the mixture into the prepared cake tin and sprinkle over the remaining coconut.Bake in the middle of the oven for 1 1/4 hours or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.

7)Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly in the tin before turning out on to wire rack to cool.

Now serve it with your favorite tea,enjoy!:)

Haven't tried yet,i use bread crumbs with my ckicken,but can use a replacement for corn starch i guess (in case i run out)Thank's for the tip sis!:)

try cornflakes next time instead of bread crumbs :)
