I have a question, my fiance who is the US citizen is living in the UK at the moment and finishes work on the 15th Apr to move to USA and hopefully I will have the visa shortly after. We don't have a lot of savings or assets so his mum has filled in an I-134, she does not work and has included bank statements to say she has about $100,000 in the bank, her house is worth $1.5 million and has no mortgage she lived in the UK for the last 20 years so she has also sent me her P60 from her job here. I would have thought that this is more than enough to support her son and I? I'm just worried that no-one is actually employed? Does my fiance have to give me any docs to take to the interview other than bank statement to show savings and the I-134?

income or assets or any combination that meets the requirements of the consulate is what is needed... if you meet the consulate's needs, then all is good.

YMMV
