I landed a job as a Literature and Pronunciation Teacher at a private high school today!

I'm already teaching at a language school, but this is a much better job.

The funny thing is that I wouldn't have got this job if not for VJ. A friend on the site introduced me to a Brit who has been teaching here for many years. This guy invited us to stay with him, led me around the city to get my affairs in order, showed me where the good schools were and tutored me. The school I will be working at is the same one he works at, so I know it's good. I could have worked the language mills for years before I found out about this place. Here's to my buddy Jimbo. I'll hoist up the Union Jack in his honor!

My youngest son is teaching English to kids in Japan, that brings about a question. Why do these Asians want to learn English? Yet another question, why don't they teach English here in the USA?

Starting to see goods here made in VN, are you seeing good in VN made in the USA? Is the USA even making goods anymore?

My company that was recently sold and moved to China had over 1,000 Viet Namese laid off, most were refugee families from the war, very hard working people. My son informs me that the Japanese are doing the same thing laying off thousands of cottage workers. Maybe we all should move to China.
