when did you send your petition and what service center? ours was from VSC and it took a week to get our NOA1 but its 2 months waiting for NOA 2...but it really happens

we sent our I129F petition last MARCH 5, 2009 (actually im not really sure if our NOA1 is there or not because my fiancee used his brother's addres.. because my fiancee is moving to another apartment,,, n i think the brother is too busy not replying with our messages)... well anyway...

the check was already withdrawn ffrom the bank.. so is that ok??

Back of the check, should have the receipt #. Please look for that number. As for K1 Visa's filed at CSC, i think receipt number starts with WAC.

I wouldn't worry. They obvioulsy got it which means you DO have your NOA1. It is 1-2 days before they took the money from the bank. You just don't have a piece of paper. The NOA1 is a fancy letter to tell you they received your package. Cashing your check is a less fancy way to tell you they got your package. The NOA1 contains absolutely no information you need for the process. If you wish to play with the USCIS's mostly useless website (the one that says we are "received and pending 7 months after my wife's arrival) you can get a copy of the back of your check. Your USCIS case number will be printed on it.
