Hi all:

On #19, (IMBA), i put "No".

The reason being is we got each other's emails and profiles from facebook, which not IMBRA.

However, the white lie is the part before facebook, i saw her profile a dating site, did not pay membership fees, but copied and pasted her screen name into facebook hoping it would come up, and it did., so we befriended each other there, and started chatting, emailing, skyping, etc.

So my question is, did I answer #19 accurately?

You did it fine, it is NOT a white lie at all you told the truth.

Face book and most dating sites are NOT IMB.

An IMB is a broker company that makes $$ when they successfully match people and the result is a Marriage.

In reference to the IMBRA Rule, i meet my fiancee via a site which charged for credits for emails, video chat, etc. I did answer Yes to IMBRA and put all of the contact information for the site operating out of FL. I hope that "Yes" was correct because if i read this correctly, they did not get any money as a result of us getting engaged. Only charged for the services of meeting her.. can someone elaborate.. and I hope i didn't make a mistake on this

I believe you answered correctly. The charges are not necessarily ONLY if an engagement results, but they did charge specifically for meeting and corresponding with women for the purpose of marriage. I think someone will come along and post the exact statute, as I have seen it many times. If the service you used does not fall into the IMB category, it is not a problem.

However I do not believe charging for emails or videochats or translating makes them an IMB, I think it is the fees charged for introduntion that would put them in that category. It differs from a dating site that may charge a fee, per month for example, but not for specific contacts.

At any rate, I do not think you have cauised a problem by answering "yes".
